Stephan Collins-Stepney
as Trenchcoat/Lumumba Carter

Stephan Collins-Stepney is the Founder and Artistic Director of TADAOW (Theater And Drama Are Our Weapons) Inc.

Stephan is a self proclaimed "theater brat". He has been working in theater since the age of four. Stephan studied theater at Morgan State University and some of his credits include August Wilson's Fences, Trenchcoat/Lumumba CarterA Soldier's Play, One Monkey Don't Stop No Show, A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, and The Meeting.

Stephan has also done local TV and radio commercials and has been featured on an HBO episode of The Wire. Along with 20 years of acting experience, Stephan is also a writer, director, and a poet. This is his second role with Balozi Productions, having played "Gorri" in HUSH in 2007. He would like to thank all of his friends and family for their love and support.

Mariama Orange
as DD/Dorothea

Mariama Orange is an electrical engineer. DDMariama is grateful for this opportunity to work with Balozi Productions for many reasons, including the production company's quality classes, scripts, and social justice focus. Tiondra Perry
as Dr. Joan Smith

Tiondra Perry graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications,Dr.  Joan Smith Public Relations and Promotions. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Tiondra would like to take this opportunity to say "First and foremost, thank you God from whom all blessings flow. Bernadine Okoro
as SoJay/Sophie-Jean

Bernadine Okoro, a secondary science teacher in DC, is also a director, writer, actress, singer, and soon to beSoJay published author. A first generation Nigerian-American and native Washingtonian, she began acting at the age 6. She's played roles in The Me Nobody Knows, Bubblin' Brown Sugar, As You Like It, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and others. Playing "Sophie-Jean" offers a new and exciting chance to explore the issues of love loss and homelessness right in the heart of Washington DC.

Maurice Jeremiah Brown
as Mo/Mohamed

Maurice Brown is an active church member at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Washington DC,Dr.  Joan Smith where he is a Junior Usher and he is also in the Mime and Youth Ministries. In his spare time he enjoys reading books, playing basketball and running track where he has broken two records in the 100 meter dash in Potomac Virginia. He is currently pursuing his dreams as an actor. Maurice says "I would like to thank my family for all their support because without family I'm nothing and the main reason I even have a loving caring family is because of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in him all things are possible."

Fahima Seck
as Reporter

Fahima Seck, was born in the Village of Harlem, in NYC. She is a founding member of the DC Radio CO-OP and a producer at-large with Pacifica Radio in NY, DC and Houston, TX.the Reporter She is also a newly added panelist to the Urban Flow Television Show which airs on DC TV.

Fahima had a guest appearance in the 2002 production of Sybil J. Roberts' play A Liberating Prayer, A Love Song for Mumia. She is humbled by this opportunity to be a part of a Balozi production, inspired by the acting classes with Mwalimu Mkawasi Mcharo Hall and struck by the theater company's commitment to social justice issues.
